Wedding at the Dike Trail

Tyler and Lauren met and hit it off while Tyler was working in construction and Lauren was attending her second year of schooling at Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, Ontario. Come November 2019, they were engaged and had purchased their first home in the spring of 2020. This home was something special to them, not only because it was their first home and soon to be wedding venue but, it was also the home that Tyler grew up in when he was a child. 

Up until the wedding on August 28, 2021, the property was in the best shape it had ever been. Debris had been cleared away, dead trees had been cut down, gardens were planted and fences had been built. Their backyard was ready to celebrate their love with Tyler and Lauren’s close friends and immediate family.

Their sunny August backyard wedding was casual yet romantic, with accents of a rustic decor. Centre pieces consisted of wood cookies from the trees that were cleared down, the head tables were hand built by Tyler and his brother, and the arbour that the couple said their vows under was crafted by Tyler’s Best Man. Their friends and family were highly involved every step of the way from supporting the celebration of their I’do’s to setting up and decorating the backyard in preparation of the big day. It all came together to be everything they hoped and imagined!
